I like to lead by example so I’ve been out with litter pickers in Heckmondwike and Batley and you can expect to see me with a bin liner and a pick a lot more in the months to come. On a larger scale, the proposed Amazon warehouse in Scholes would disfigure the landscape and I am working closely with local residents to oppose any development that causes unacceptable damage to the environment, creates noise pollution and adds to the pressure of the roads.
