Since my election I have had a considerable amount of correspondence regarding crime and anti-social behaviour across the area. Please be assured that I am acutely aware of the serious concerns many people have on these issues, including myself and my family and friends. I have met with a number of concerned local residents to discuss reckless driving, speeding and various types of unacceptable anti-social behaviour and am convening future meetings with the police, councillors, Kirklees Council and local people to develop a strategy to make our streets safer for everyone.
