I was only in Westminster for a few days before Parliament went into recess for the summer. But I used that time to press ministers on:

• Ensuring local residents are properly consulted on planning decisions
• Calling for the creation of well-paid, local jobs in town centres
• Demanding a cross-government approach to tackling anti-social behaviour
• Increasing funding to reduce speeding and to repair potholes
• Setting aside funds for children’s services
• Helping the pub and hospitality industry recover from the Covid lockdowns
